The summer of 2024 brought a unique situation in the boat haulage availability in the Dillingham, Alaska area for the Bristol Bay Salmon Gillnet boat fleet; the main vendors for moving boats quit! This left many boat owners without a way to haulout, move, store or launch their boats. Husky Manufacturing has stepped in to help fill this void by designing a trailer loosely based on existing haulout trailers, sourcing materials and their shipping options, and actually building one for a customer that he used at the end of the 2024 season.
Two trailer sizes were developed;
The 30KHO, a 30,000 lbs. capacity, six axle, hydraulic lift trailer designed for the smaller, narrower single engine boats.
and The 48KHO, a 48,000 lbs. capacity, six axle, hydraulic lift trailer designed with a wider, heavier frame width and greater capacity running gear, for the larger, twin engine boats.
Once a deposit is recieved, build to delivery time is expected to be 6-8 weeks, with spring 2025 build location in Wasilla, Alaska, and July-August 2025 build location in Dillingham, Alaska, then returning to Wasilla, Alaska for fall/winter builds of 2025-2026.
Both trailer sizes come with gas engine powered lift hydraulics, one pair of adjustable guide posts, two 6" keel straps and winches, rubber faced lift pads, a 12,000 lbs. tongue jack and a 30,000 lbs. pintle ring.
These trailers are not hiway legal, but brakes and a lighting package can be added; price yet to be determined.
